Police probe attack on Enugu Govt House

The police says the identity of those who attacked Enugu State Government House last Saturday would soon be made known to the public.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, made this disclosure to our correspondent, on Sunday.

Amaraizu said investigation into the matter was almost complete and the police almost set to make their findings known.

He refused commenting on insinuations that the attackers were cultists from universities with the South-East zone.

“I can’t give answers to your question on if the men (attackers) are cultists from universities in the South-East. All I can say is that we are still investigating and almost done. When we are finally done, we would make known the identity of the attackers to the public,” Amaraizu said.

Meanwhile, government officials in the state declined commenting on the matter.
